A Taste of What to Expect From the Latest Audi RS 5 Model Range

Top Gear South Africa first reported on the upcoming refreshed Audi RS 5 model range back in October 2020 and now they have finally arrived and are available to the South African public. Both the new Audi RS 5 Coupé and Sportback variants share a refined design language, similar to that found in the latest RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback. Flatter and wider single-frame grilles are but one of the striking changes you will come to notice.

The upgraded RS 5 model range offers so much more than a couple of sporty cars. Each of these variants allows the driver and any lucky passengers to experience premium levels of comfort, dynamism and functionality. Take a peek under the bonnet and you will find that both variants come equipped with a powerful 2.9-litre TFSI twin-turbo V6 engine that is capable of delivering 331 kW and 600 Nm of torque – more than any of their predecessors. This allows the new Audi RS 5 Coupé and Sportback to sprint from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.9 seconds, reaching a regulated top speed of 250 km/h.

With these cars, performance is absolutely an attitude.
